A new year's greeting card from the publisher's 'Australian New Year Card Series' with colour chromolithographed artwork depicting a kangaroo with a swag attached to a stick over his shoulder and a billy can in his other hand. He is smoking a pipe and wearing elastic sided boots. "A Happy New Year" appears in decorative lettering in the image below him, and "Copyright" in the decorative border bottom right. On the verso is the series hand-lettered on an angle, a sprig of holly, and across the top, a mob of kangaroos jumping off into the distance (their bodies printed in beige).
