Authentic travels of Madame Giovanni (nee vicomtesse Gabrielle Anne Saint-Mars, 1804-1872) from 1845 to 1854 around the world which began at Mauritius proceeding to New Zealand, Tasmania, Australia, Tahiti, Hawaiian islands, California and Mexico, finishing in Paris. Her experiences or notes were given to Alexandre Dumas who wrote them into a bestseller.
