- Summary:
-
"Margaret Rawlinson with her daughter Babylon Williams, burn an area of land with their family using multiple dry palm fronds that she lights as she walks along the fires edge. Violet Lawson is constantly studying the landscape she belongs to and burns areas at the right time, so that the fires are not too hot, but still clear the underlying debris and fuel preventing larger wild fire. 'We look at that land and something tells us it's ready to burn.' Close to Cooinda, Kakadu Highway, Kakadu, Northern Territory. Wednesday 15th January, 2020."--Information supplied by photographer.
