Photograph shows public works contractors adjacent to a partially built pylon for the Hawkesbury Railway Bridge, built between 1886 and 1889, by the Union Bridge Company of New York, the successful tenderers for its design and construction, with Messrs Anderson and Barr of Jersey City, U.S.A. as sub-contractors for the foundation work.
