Deaths.
AH TAN.—On tho 23rd instant, at the Bene-
volent Asylum, Ah Tan, formerly of Pekin,
China, late of Ballarat; age, 69.
BLUNT.—On the 15th October, at the resi-
dence of her daughter, Mrs James Morey,
Pleasant street, Ellen, relict of the late
Robert Blunt, formerly of Linton, in her
81st year.
BRAY.—On the 15th October, at his son’s
residence, Napoleons, William Bray; aged
92 years.
BROWN.—At his residence, Peel street north,
Mr George Brown, late inspector perma-
nent way, Victorian railways; aged 82
years.
CLEGHORN.—On the 23rd October, at 34 Mac-
arthur street, Catherine Cleghorn, aged 75
years.
CHAPMAN.—On the 11th October, at his resi-
dence, the Black Hill, Gordon, William Wal-
lace Chapman, in his 83rd year.
DEAN.— On the 15th inst., at Waubra, Annie,
the beloved wife of Thomas Dean; aged 34
years.
ELLSWORTH.—On the 22nd October, at
Sebastopol Thomas Lindsay, youngest son
of J. H. and S. Ellsworth. Aged 25 years.
HERBERTSON.—On tho 10th of October, at
her late residence, Thorpdale, Catherine,
relict of the late Alexander Herbertson,
formerly of Durham Lead; aged 73 years.
LONGLEY.—On the 14th October, 1899, at the
Botanical Gardens, Ballarat, George Long-
ley, native of Westmoreland, England;
aged 77 years.

JONAS.—On the 21st October, at Kalgoorlie,
Isaac Jonas, beloved husband of Esther
Jonas, father of Mrs H. Harris. Elias, Bert,
and Ben Jonas, late of Ballarat.
McELROY.— On 20th October, at 100 Mair
street, the dearly beloved wife of E. F.
McElroy carriage builder.—R.l.P.
McRAE.—On the 14th October, at 62 Raglan
street, Ballarat, Janet, relic of the late
Duncan McRae, formerly of Wannon dis-
trict; aged 81 years.
REEVES.—At the Benevolent Asylum, on the
19th October, Richard Reeves, formerly of
Clare, Ireland, late of Ballarat; age, 86.
SYMONS.—On the 14th October, at her late
residence, Wendouree parade, Mary Ann,
the dearly-loved wife of Henry John
Symons; aged 59.

SMITH.—On the 21st of October, at Wal-Wal,
Emma, the dearly-beloved wife of Mr Wil-
liam John Smith, and daughter of William
and Sarah Smith, late of Happy Valley;
aged 35 years.
SPENCE.—On the 15th October, at his resi-
dence, Rodier street, Ballarat East, John
Spence, the beloved husband of Jane
Spence; aged 65 years.

TOY.—On the 18th October, at his residence,
" The Avenue,” 46 Burnbank street, Bal-
larat, Charles Williams Toy; aged 73 years.
WORSLEY.—On the 22nd October, at his resi-
dence, 117 Peel street north, Thomas Wors-
ley, aged 77 years. At rest.
WRIGHT.—On the 10th October, at his
parents’ residence, corner of Lal Lal street
and Geelong road, Francis John, beloved
husband of Henrietta F. Wright, after a
long and painful illness.—“At rest.”
