MARRIAGES.
COOKE — HIRTZEL — On the 29th May, at All Saints',
Hunter's Hill, by the Rev. J..T. Schleicher, incumbent,
assisted by the Lord Bishop of Brisbane, Arthur L. T.
Cook, surgeon, Madras Army, to Margaretta Jessy,
second daughter of Henry L. Hirtzel, Esq., of Dawlish,
England and niece of Mrs. E Manning, of Hunter's Hill.
DANSEY — TUCKER — On May 29th, at St Thomas's Church,
Willoughby, by the Rev W. H. Clarke, George Frederick
Dansey, Esq., of Wynyard-square, second son of John
Dansey, Esq., of Blandford, Dorset, England, to Alice
Margaret, second daughter of William Tucker, Esq., of
Clifton, North Shore. No cards.
DEATHS.
HOARE — On the 11th instant, at her residence, 81, Harris-
street, Pyrmont, Mary Ann, the beloved wife of Mr James
Hoare aged 41 years, leaving an affectionate husband
and ten children to mourn their loss - respected by all who
knew her. On the 28th instant, at the residence of her
aunt, Stephen Cottage, Balmain, infant daughter of the
above, aged 17 days. English papers please copy
BATE — On the 25th instant, at Ferndale, Merrimbula, the
residence of her son, Mr. Henry Bate, Mrs. Samuel Bate,
widow of the late Judge Bate, a resident of the colonies for
the last sixty-two years, aged 81.
TAYLOR — On the 30th instant, at the Farm, Kissing Point,
Sarah, the wife of J. Taylor, after a long and painful illness,
in the 53rd year of her age.
PUREFOY — On the 30th May, at his residence, 37, Bent-
street, William Alexander Purefoy, Esq., A.M., T.C.D.,
and District Judge New South Wales.
