Collection includes portraits of: Henri Mallard, Frank Harvey, William Dobell, Harold Cazneaux, J. Plimsoll, Dr Julian Smith, Anna Pavlova with Pierre Vladimiroff, Nellie Stewart, Muriel Starr, Sir John Ferguson, R.G. Menzies and of the photographer himself, Monte Luke and family. Collection also includes pictorialist landscapes; buildings, churches, architectural features and landscapes in the United Kingdom, Eton College, and, actors and actresses.

Newspaper clipping on verso: War Ended Trip For Photographer: "Herr Hitler has spoilt what promised to be a really good trip," said Mr. Monte Luke, who was to have accompanied the Duke and Duchess of Kent to Australia as a photographer, when he passed through Brisbane by air on his return to Sydney. Mr. Luke, who is a leading commercial photographer in Sydney, was to have represented a Sydney newspaper. Sunday Mail, Brisbane, 8 October 1939.
