KW ZEALAND AND AUSTRALIAN DIVISION.  

FOURTH (AUSTRALIAN) INFANTRY BRIG-ADD  

BRIGADE..OBDDD NO.

Heliopolis (Egypt),  

25rd Inarch, 1915,.  

1. 14 -th. Battalion. (Next 15th Battalion).  

2. Field Officer Major R,Rankine.  

Medical Officer Captain H.G .Loughran.  

Quartermaster Major E,N.Young, V.D.  

5. The Battalion for duty will furnish two ÃŽT.C.O'ÅŸ  

(Corporals or Sergeants) for the purpose of drilling  

the inmates of the Venereal Hospital, Aerodrome Camp.  

The tour of duty of the detail will last from a,m.  

to 12-30p,m.  

The G.O.C. directs that pack animals are not in  

future to carry the flags with the Battalion distin-  

guishing colours.  

5. Reasonable expenditure incurred in clipping .horses  

will be reimbursed on application to Brigade Head-  

quarters  

6. On all field days in future, the numbers left in  

Camp must be reduced to the absolute minimum, viz:-  

Field Officer, Quartermaster and Medical Officer of  

day, Military Police,'and few picquets to safeguard  

the camp and horse lines. All Officers’ Batmen and  

Grooms, Quartermaster’s personnel,· and other Battalion  

and Brigade fatigues and duties are to parade for train-  

ing.. Similarly Quarter Guards are to be withdrawn  

except to the extent absolutely necessary fox the safe  

custody of prisoners.  

Every opportunity is to be seized to have the spare  

set of shoes, carried for each horse, properly fitted  

to the norse, ready to be fixed cold. Nhere this cannot  

be done without temporarily removing the present shoes,  

such course is to be adopted. Horses are to be dealt  

with in the following order, viz:- Draughts, packs,  

riding horses.

8. In accordance with instructions from Divisional  

Headquarters, the use of ordinary lend pencils for  

official correspondence or preparation of returns, etc.,  

is strictly prohibited. Ink must be used whenever  

practicable and when not practicable indelible pencils  

are to be used.  

9. It is reported that instances have occurred of men  

purchasing liquor at Canteen and consuming it elsewhere.  

O’s C. Battalions will specially warn N.C.O’s detailed  

for Canteen duty that they will be held strictly respon-  

sible for seeing that no such irregularity as that  

referred to herein is permitted.  

10. N.C.O’s and men are forbidden to wear M.P. R.P,  

and S.P, Armlet Badges when off duty, especially outside  

Camp Bounds.
