Scope and Contents
The MS 6372 collection comprises script broadcasts for the ABC social studies programs and other ABC programs, for example "Library Shelf" "Kindergarten of the Air" "Adventure in words" and "Play School". These scripts take the form of typescripts and handwritten drafts. Also in the collection are his better known scripts in draft and typescript: Power Without Glory, serialised in twenty-six episodes; Matlock Police and Homicide, twelve episodes including notes prepared by Crawford Productions; Picnic at Hanging Rock; Lucinda Brayford, in four episodes with notes. Included in these papers is some correspondence between Green and the A.B.C. regarding production details for programs. There are also screenplays of the novels; Break of the Day and All the Green Year by Don Charlwood and the film of John Shaw Neilson's The Poor Can Feed the Birds This collection also includes film and television scripts, some produced, some unproduced, and some in early stages of development with manuscripts both handwritten and typed; research material and correspondence with producers and funding bodies.

Cliff Green has had a highly successful career as a writer of scripts for radio, television, film and more recently for stage.
