An autograph book belonging to Herbert Philpot. Contents of the book include signatures, recipes and poems. It was apparently taken on board a ship transporting soldiers from Australia to Europe during World War I. Many of the entries comprise name, rank, serial number and brigade details of persons on board, along with the phrase "On service abroad" or similar.
