that it may be forwarded as early as possible.

MINISTERING WOMEN.

Our Magazine has now completed eighteen

years of service in its capacity of mouthpiece

of the ministering women in connection with

the missionary activities of the Presbyterian

Church of New South Wales, and in accord-

ance with royal prerogative may claim to have

attained that majority at which woman is

supposed to be competent to manage both her

own affairs and affairs of State. Neverthe-

less, of late, the women we represent have

been glad (we suppose they have been glad)

to share the cares and anxieties of the great

work in which they are engaged with the

sterner sex; and, no doubt, it has been re-

lief to be spared the necessity of making im-

portant decisions entirely on their own re-

sponsibility. Two heads are (generally)

better than one.

The original aim of our Magazine was to

lay before its readers the claims of women

and children in non-Christian lands to our

prayers, our support, and our sympathy, and

to make more widely known the organisation

and activities of the Women’s Missionary As-

sociation, both in Sydney and throughout the

State. For some years this aim has been

extended to include the dissemination of news

from our Home and Foreign Missions, In
