could he drawn hy one horse for small jobs when  

it would have heen waste of power to hook

dray and used as home store or asa atnk to cat  

catch rain water tand the horses could he ri en awa  

from th main camp in search of cod country  

hile it is not nos sihle to do mudi good hy riding  

bullock  

There are men still alive who went out on these  

trins in search of good cattle country and the ®xperiencas  

of one such pioneer weredescrihe over the air from  

this station about year ago He said that he and his  

three hrotherswho were native sof Maitland bought mob  

of breeding cattle heifers and young hulls and two of  

them started the mob up for the North while the other tw  

went on ahead to look for country .They did not know  

where the" were going nor when they would get there  

nor if they would ever get there at all .When he wasasked  

what nlaces the nassed on their march he said that  

did not nass any places for there were no nlaces
