6th November, 1951.

Dear Mr, Bakers,

Many thanks.for your further letter of

the 18th of last month.

Much as your idea appeals to me, it just

isn’t practicable even ,to consider such an undertaking

personally and, reluctantly, must confess that am still

unable to put my finger on substitute author for you.

This do sincerely regret as agree that

the world at large â€” not only Australia â€” needs to be

educated swiftly and thoroughly to the dangers and evils of

the Communist doctrine and, to this end, the written word

is powerful weapon, wMded wisely in the right quarter.

With my best wishes,

am.

Yours sincerely,

(R.G, MENZIES)

Andrew Bakers, Esq,
