Dear Miss Craig,  

,/ell, Sir Robert and Dame Pattie left for the States lastFriday,  

and am now back in my office after talcing couple of days leave.  

It was certainly marvellous opportunity for me to be able to work  

for Sir Robert, and really appreciated the chance, am only sorry  

that Irene was not allowed to do so. She would have enjoyed it so much,  

./aimer is fascinating place, isn't it, really grew to love it,  

and was only sorry that had to work there, and not just be on holiday.  

The people are so nice and friendly (even when they don't know you are  

working for the Lord Warden); it is such change from London hustle and  

bustle,  

low, want to tell you as much as can about what went on at  

'•/aimer and during the stay of Sir Robert and Dame Pattie. have  

divided the files up as:  

Gorrespondence about fulfilled engagements in date order. This includes  

correspondence relating to visits by Sir Robert and Dame Pattie and also  

from and to people they invited themselves.  

Daily programmes these are copies of the programmes did daily for them.  

Invitations declined divided into Ãœ.S.Â., Canada, Australia and the Ãœ.K.  

(This also includes requests from the press for interviews.)  

Correspondence about Residence at falmer Castle this includes names of  

local suppliers, thank you letters to Johnson and the Police, etc.
