Mr. Keith Ridley (former Australian Trade

Commissioner in Hong Kong) is now in Union Carbide Aust. Ltd., Sydney.

He rang this afternoon to ask whether you

could see the President of their parent firm in America when he

visited Canberra on Saturday 14th Nov.

Mr. Ridley naturally would like you to see

him but appreciates that it is week-end and you should not be

bothered with appointments â€“ however, impossible to get to Canberra

during week, American Co. have invested good deal of money

in Australia and propose to add to this.

American Pres. (Mr. George C. Wells) would be

accompanied to Canberra by Chairman of Aust Co (Mr. T.A. Anderson)

and Mr. R.T. Ridley.

What do you say?

Indicated 10 mins would do for courtesy call.
