Biographical / Historical

Garnet H Carroll (1902-1964), entrepreneur, protégé of Benjamin Fuller (1930's) acquired the Princess Theatre, Melbourne, in the 1940's, presenting touring productions including Whitehall Theatrical Productions from Sydney. From the 1950's onwards commercial plays and musicals were presented in competition with J C Williamson. Some productions toured in conjunction with the Australian Elizabethan Trust and Tivoli Circuit.
