Handwritten logbook, entitled "Log kept on board the North Briton from Leith to Sidney, 1838", of a voyage made from August, 1838 to January, 1839. Illustrated with pen-and-ink and wash drawings. The book also contains a brief diary kept by Sceales while in Sydney (January - March, 1839) and Bungonia, near Goulburn (April, 1839 - September, 1842), and a list of "Individuals on board the North Briton".
