Scope and Content
Diary of Bunbury's travels to Genoa in 1828, and to Sydney via Madeira Island and the Cape Verde Islands in 1834. Part of the diary relates to his term as Lieutenant with the 21st Regiment from 1834-1835 in New South Wales. His explorations in Western Australia (1836-1837) are also described. Bunbury gives a detailed description of the overland route from Pinjarra to Busselton, and comments on the customs and habits of the Western Australian Aboriginal people.
