Fix this textand a start was made at 3 p.m.
Fix this textOver 70 riders were counted as they moved
Fix this textpast, which is a record in attendance for the
Fix this textopening run of Sydney’s oldest cycling club.
Fix this textThe weather was all that could be desired,
Fix this textand the roads were found in perfect order, the
Fix this textheavy rain the night before having wonderfully
Fix this textimproved them. The captain, ably assisted by
Fix this texthis sub-captain (Mr. A. C. Goodwin), and
Fix this textMr. F. Goodwin (treasurer) brought the company
Fix this textalong at a very comfortable pace, via College,
Fix this textOxford and Crown streets, through Centennial
Fix this textPark, and via Kensington, arriving at Long
Fix this textBay, at 3.45 p.m.
Fix this textThe “Sydneys” turned out in their new
Fix this textuniform, and presented a very creditable ap-
Fix this textpearance. The colour, a light fawn, is a pecu-
Fix this textliarly serviceable one for cycling, and the
Fix this textchange from the familiar dark blue will be
Fix this textmuch appreciated. The Sydney Ladies’
Fix this textBicycle Club, not to be behind hand, also
Fix this textsported a new costume, which consisting of a
Fix this textcream cashmere blouse, dark skirt, and sailor
Fix this texthat, presented a very neat appearance. Each
Fix this textmember wore the new silver badge attached to
Fix this texta light blue bow, and the whole effect was
Fix this textvery pleasing.
Fix this textAn hour’s rest was indulged in at the Bay,
Fix this textand an opportunity given for friendly converse.
Fix this textThe medical fraternity was largely represented.

Fix this textincluded a run around the Centennial Park,
Fix this textwas completed by 5.45 p.m., and a most en-
Fix this textjoyable afternon’s outing brought to a close.
Fix this textAt 6.30 p.m., nearly 100 guests sat down to
Fix this texttea in the spacious Club room, which had been
Fix this textartistically decorated, and illuminated for the
