Scope and Contents

Collection of 11 photographs taken in Melbourne and Sydney during the 1870s and 1880s. The photographs are mostly portraits taken by the following photographic studios and photographers: William Hall (1870 - 1886), D. Woods, American Photographic Company (Melbourne), The Photographic Studio (Sydney), Charles Nettleton, and Tattle and Company (Melbourne). The collection also includes a copy of the official death notice for James Thomson (d. 10 September 1881).
