Notes
The Australian Public Service Commissioner is required, under the Public Service Act 1999, to report to the Agency’s Minister on the state of the Australian Public Service each year, for presentation to the Parliament. The Australian Public Service Commission prepares the State of the Service Report in collaboration with APS agencies. It shows how the APS supports the Australian Government, the Australian Parliament and the Australian people. Reporting on the Commonwealth Public Service commenced from 1902, by the Public Service Commissioner or Board of Commissioners, under the legislation in force at the time. This collection brings together reports on the state of the Australian Public Service from Federation to the present day. These reports form a valuable record of the history and contributions of the Australian Public Service. You can explore the State of the Service Report collection through Trove.
