Me. R. B. Jones. Parliament House, Melbourne, 12th Juno, 1888.

Dear Sir, —I have much pleasure in stating that the nine chairs purchased from you have given me every satisfaction. —

Yours truly,

M. 11. DAVIES, M.L.A., Speaker Legislative Assembly.

Extract from Sydney Morning Herald of 15th August, 1888, referring to the exhibits in the Centennial Inter-

national Exhibition, Melbourne, says: — 'A little more to the Westward, the visitor finds platform on which are placed

number of Hammoquette .Reclining Chairs, one of the latest things from that ingenious

class of Americans who devote their lives to the invention of objects which shall minister

to the fastidious-tastea of the invalid, or meet the luxurious demands of the wealthy. The

Hammoquette Chair, constructed mainly of American ash, coloured to resemble mahogany,

is shown by R. B. Jones, (5 Bridge-street, Sydney, and can, at will, be made to assume

great variety of shapes. It is difficult to conceive more valuable addition to sick room,

library, study, or verandah, than the Hammoquette Chair must prove.”
