In Brief.

The Mission has found God very present

help during the past month.

The needs of the Mission were fully met

in every department.

Mrs. Morton, one of the Committee, spent

few weeks with the Sackville Beach people

—the visitor and visited being much

blessed.

Miss Dixon had heavy month—visits

being paid to Mittagong, Newcastle, Single-

ton, Manly, Auburn, and other places.

Addresses were delivered at each place,

and the claims of the Mission forcibly put

before the people.

One of the Committee paid flying visit

to Greenwell Point during the Easter holi-

days.

The needs of Missionary at that place

was very much impressed upon the visitor.

From every district where the dark

people are located there comes the call fora

Missionary.

The Committee at its last meeting de-

cided to send out another Missionary—Miss

Duggan being appointed on probation.

Miss Dixon visited Singleton on Sunday,

April 18, conducting in that town.

During her absence Miss Hoggins took

the meeting at La Perouse. At night the

Church was crowded, and God’s presence

very much manifested.

Mrs. Houslar, one of the Wollongong

Committee was present, and took charge of

the children during the afternoon.

One of our La Perouse Junior boys opened

the first junior meeting after it was re-

organised with prayer which com-

menced and ended as follows “ Dear

Lord Jesus, we want thee to bless us as we

are getting into our old style again. ....

Dear Lord, teach Miss Dixon something

new all the time so that she can teach us.”

Bome of the La Perouse/Endeavourers

have written letters to C.E. Societies during

the month.

The Mittagong juniors sent Miss Dixon

nicely printed address in letter form for her

birthday, which delighted the La Perouse

juniors.

Parcels of literature, cards, etc., were

sent to Taree and Eos ter by the hand of

some of the people from those places who

visited La Perouse, one of whom was con-

verted and has since sent word that she is

trusting in the

Miss M. Tim bury, Secretary of New-

castle C.E. Union, spent Easter at La

Perouse. Her visit will not soon be for-

gotten "by the people.

Miss Hoggins distributed large quantity

of periodicals, magazines, etc., amongst the

soldiers encamped at La Perouse during

Easter.

Three of the men, two being workers from

Centenary Hall and one from St. Barnabas’

helped us in our service on Easter Siinday

night.

Eev. W. G. Taylor and Mrs. Taylor were

atnong the visitors at La Perouse this

month.

Miss Dixon was led to Christ nearly 19

years ago through Mr. Taylor, so the Abori-

gines were delighted to see their Mission-

ary’s spiritual father.

The way the work is opening up and new

labourers entering in is very great joy to

our first converts.

Mrs. Timbery, who was the first to come

to Jesus, wept the other day as we were

telling her the good news and said Praise

the Lord that I’ve lived to see this day, now

can die in peace for my people will have

the gospel preached to them.

Mr. aud Mrs. Brain, of Trunkey Creek,

spent an afternoon at La Perouse recently.

For some time Mr. Brain was public school

teacher at La Perouse and holds high

opinion of the intellectual capacity of our

children.

Information will be supplied to Christian

workers who feel prompted to offer for

Mission work amongst the dark people by

either of the Missionaries, the Secretary,

President, or other official.
