No. 222

Registered as Newspaper fo

Transmission by Post.

January 31, 1920.

One Shilling per Annum.

In Brief.

** Father, do not ask

That Thou wilt choose some other task

And make it mine. pray—

But this: let every day

Bo moulded still.

By Thine own hand my will

Be only Thine, however deep

have to bend Thy hand to keep

Let me not simply do, but be content

Sure that the little crosses each are eenL;

And no mistake can ever be

With Thine own hand to choose for me.

Our 1920 Conference is over, and Missionaries

will soon be wending their way stationwards.

The meetings were all fairly well attended, and

much blessing resulted.

Missionaries were all conucious of the promised

presence, and return home blessed.

The Farewell Meeting to Miss Malcolm took

place under adverse conditions—Lightning, thun-

der, and rain.

The attendance was somewhat interfered with,

but there was an appreciative audience, and the

addresses were much enjoyed.

Mr. Arnott’s message of “ Good-bye,” was de-

lightful, and Miss Malcolm’s response inspiring.

The Annual Meeting was agopd one, being well

attended, and the messages attentively listened to.

The Annual Repoit was encouraging, although

not much in the forward march recorded.

The Scripture motto passed along for 1920 was,

—“ Let us not be weary in well doing, for in due

season we shall reap if we faint not.”

The children from the Home, (four girls), sang

very prettily at the various meetings.

The behaviour and general bearing of the little

ones was commented upon as all that could be

desired.

The Bomaderry Home was represented by

Matron Fowler and Miss Finlayson, both of whom

seemod much “ run down ’*

Nevertheless they both had good story to tell,

which seemed to grip the listeners.

To many it was new story —having heard of

the Hugh Morwick Aborigines Children’s Home

for the first time.

The Anniversary Day Annual Outing, at La

Perouse, was all that could be desired.

One pleasing feature of this year’s Conference

was the gathering together of old and new Miss-

ionaries and Councillors.

Mr. and Mrs. Fryer, Miss Leggatt, Mr. Nossit-

ter, Mrs. Breckenridge, Mr. Terry, Mr. Hetchell,

and other old friends have all came into touch

again.

Mies Baker, our faithful La Perouse worker,

has not been too well, and could do with an ex-

tended rest.

Thanks to the kind interest of Mr. Rien, of

Bethshan Holiness Mission, two lady workers

kindly relieved the Missionaries from the Home

to attend conference,
