Fix this text(1) Dietetic essences shall be solutions of
Fix this textwholesome flavoring substances in ethylic alco-
Fix this texthol or in water, with or without harmless color-
Fix this texting matter.
Fix this textEssence of Lemon.
Fix this text(2) Essence of Lemon shall be the flavoring
Fix this textextract prepared from oil of lemon, or from
Fix this textlemon-peel, or from both; it shall contain not
Fix this textless than five parts per centum by volume of
Fix this textoil of lemon, and shall conform with the general
Fix this textstandard for essences.
Fix this textOil of Lemon.
Fix this text(3) Oil of lemon shall be the volatile oil ob-
Fix this texttained by expression or alcoholic solution from
Fix this textthe fresh peel of the lemon (citrus limonum,
Fix this textL.); it shall have an optical rotation at 25 deg.
Fix this textC. of not less than plus 60 deg. in a 100 m.m.

Fix this text(4) Terpeneless essence of lemon shall be the

Fix this textit shall contain not less than 0.2 parts per
Fix this textcentum by weight of citral derived from oil of
Fix this textlemon, and shall conform with the general

Fix this text(5) Terpeneless oil of lemon shall be oil of
Fix this textlemon from which all, or nearly all, the terpenes
Fix this texthave been removed.

Fix this text(6) Vanilla bean shall be the dried fruit of
Fix this textVanilla planifolia (species), containing the
Fix this textodoriferous principle,, or aldehyde, known as
