File of correspondence concerning the future of the New Hebrides Condominium the Commission set up by the British Government in 1927 to investigate the position of British settlers in the New Hebrides the treatment of natives by settlers and the Winzi Case on Malo 1929-1930 and the subsequent charge of criminal libel made by a planter M.G. Wells against the Church of Scotland missionary F. Bowie 1930-1931. The papers on the Condominium include correspondence between the Church of Scotland the United Free Church of Scotland the Presbyterian Church of Victoria and the Colonial Office with many letters written by Bowie while on furlough in 1929-1930. The bulk of the remaining papers consist of copies of Bowie's letters and submissions on the Winzi Case. The principal correspondents are F. Bowie (Tangoa) A. Fleming (Sydney) R. The album is heavily annotated and contains five letters from J. Inglis to C.L. Guthrie (1890-1892).
