OUR NEW GAZETTE.

OUR Gazette has been altered not only in size and shape, hut,

in addition, the Committee has adopted the policy of

endeavouring to include in each future issue at least one authori-

tative article of interest to dog lovers generally.

In the plan of reconstruction, it has been found necessary,

unfortunately, to omit, in future, publication of registrations of

dogs. As usual, litter notifications, stud names, and the monthly

list of champions will be included. Whether or not it will be

possible to revert to the practice of publishing registrations and

to increase the number of articles on care of dogs, feeding, &c.,

will depend to what extent members show their appreciation of

the Gazette as free service by the insertion of advertisements.

By reason of the valuable publicity obtainable it will behove

members to notify the birth of all litters. The fee for the

complete litter is nominal one if notification is made within

30 days from date of birth.

K.C.C. OF V.

names from the suspended list, with their dogs, were granted,

each application embodying written promise to in future

K.C.C. of V.

The selection of judges for Parades and Championship Shows

was considered. Some of the latter were found unacceptable as

lacking sufficient experience to judge at Championship Shows.

*****

Thirty-nine persons were elected to membership, making

total of 1162 financial members.

*****

protest against the award made to Pomeranian, on the

ground that it was not an over-weight, as specified in the class,

was considered. It was decided that although the dog was

proved to be ozs. under the weight on the day following the

judging, the person protesting had failed to prove that the dog

was under the weight on the day of judging,

An explanation regarding the exhibition of bulldog in

class for which it was not eligible was accepted, instructions

having already been given for the cancellation of the award.

inability to secure trophy donated, the Secretary was directed

trolling bodies regarding the adoption of uniform breed name

for dogs known as Cattledogs and Queensland Heelers.

It was agreed that with the present rate of members’ subscriptions

and other fees, the expense in publishing applications for regis-

tration was not warranted.

The Committee ruled that the K.C.C. of V. cannot assist

affiliated bodies to secure the payment of outstanding accounts

for entries accepted without fees.
