Fix this textLECTURES APPRECIATED
Fix this textTwo outstandingly informative and in-
Fix this textteresting lectures were enjoyed by members of
Fix this textthe K.C.C. on Wednesday, August 19. Mr. N. F.
Fix this textColes spoke first on the Bulldog and was fol-
Fix this textlowed by Mr. Robert Myers on Pekingese. Both
Fix this textlectures were illustrated by lantern, and the
Fix this textcare and preparation which had been given to
Fix this texteach subject caused listeners to express the
Fix this texthope that the records compiled would be pre-
Fix this textserved for the betterment of the two breeds.

Fix this textTHE PANEL OF
Fix this textJUDGES
Fix this textNew System Adopted
Fix this textRule 55, governing the admission of names
Fix this textto the Panel' of Approved Victorian Judges for
Fix this textChampionship and Country Championship
Fix this textShows, has been altered to read as follows:
Fix this text(a) No person may judge at a show which is
Fix this textheld under the Rules and Regulations of the
Fix this textK.C.C., and at which Challenge Certificates of
Fix this textany value are offered unless licensed by the
Fix this textcommittee of the K.C.C.
Fix this text(b) No licence shall be granted until the
Fix this textapplicant has judged three shows and/or
Fix this textparades of the breeds concerned unless a four-
Fix this textfifths majority of the committee is in favour
Fix this textof such licence being granted.
Fix this text(c) The onus of proving a person’s eligibility
Fix this textfor licence shall rest with that person.
Fix this text(d) Application for licence must be made on
Fix this textsuch form and in such manner as may be pre-
Fix this textscribed from time to time by the Committee of
Fix this textthe K.C.C.
Fix this text(e) All licences shall expire on December 31
Fix this textfollowing the date granted (subject to clauses
Fix this textf and h), and as far as possible application
Fix this textfor renewal should be made on or before No-
Fix this textvember 1 in each year.
Fix this text(f) The committee of the K.C.C. may refuse
Fix this textany application for licence, and may cancel any
Fix this textlicence, or may suspend for any period or vary
Fix this textin any way any licence already granted, or may
Fix this textgrant in part only any application for licence,
Fix this textand the committee of the K.C.C. shall not be
Fix this textbound to assign any reason for so doing or to
Fix this textgive notice to any person or persons.
Fix this text(g) A list of judges licensed by the com-
Fix this textmittee of the K.C.C. shall be compiled and made
Fix this textavailable to kindred and affiliated bodies. Such
Fix this textlist shall specify what breed or breeds of dog
Fix this texteach judge is eligible to judge. The list shall
Fix this textstate also that opinion as to the ability of those
Fix this textjudges is not expressed or implied, but that the
Fix this textcommittee of the K.C.C. is satisfied that they
Fix this texthave judged three shows and/or parades of the
Fix this textbreeds for which they are listed.
Fix this text(h) The committee of the K.C.C. shall have
Fix this textpower, in the case of a person not ordinarily
Fix this textresident in the State of Victoria, to grant a
Fix this texttemporary licence to judge a particular show.
Fix this textOn December 31 next the existing panel will
Fix this textbe replaced by the new one. The committee is
Fix this textanxious to impress all judges with the fact that
Fix this textapplication by form supplied by the K.C.C. is
Fix this textnecessary even though their names might al-
Fix this textready be in the present panel. Such judges,
Fix this textand those who have secured the necessary
Fix this textqualifications since the panel was closed during
Fix this textreconsideration of its maintenance, have been
Fix this textcircularised and requested to make a point of
Fix this textapplying in order that the panel’, copies of
Fix this textwhich are sent to affiliated clubs and to kindred
Fix this textbodies in other States, may be as complete as
Fix this textpossible. The closing date for applications is
Fix this textNovember 1.

Fix this textcomplete set of the four issues to date is being
Fix this textpresented to each of the three judges at this
Fix this textyear’s Royal Show. Applications for space in
