TRADE MISSION BACK FROM AFRICA

MEMBERS OF THE TRADE MISSION IN MELBOURNE ON THEIR RETURN FROM SUCCESSFUL AFRICAN TOUR

The first Australian Trade Mission to Africa re

turned to Melbourne on April 5, after covering

nearly 25,000 miles in seven weeks. The Mission was

organised by the Department of Commerce and Agri-

potential. The mission found that Africa was no

exception to this.

By co-operative effort, the Mission achieved an

outstanding success in publicising Australian second-

ary industries and in writing substantial business.

Apart from its achievement in the fields of goodwill

and national publicity, the Mission achieved definite
