THOUSANDS SEE, TASTE AND BUY  

The Duke of Edinburgh visits the Australian pavilion on opening day at the Ideal Home Exhibition, Olympia, London.  

Her Majesty the Queen and the Duke of Edin-  

burgh were the first of thousands of people who  

have been visiting Australia’s impressive, blue and  

gold pavilion at the Ideal Home Exhibition, which  

opened in London’s Olympia on March 4.  

Her Majesty accepted 140-lb. cake made with  

Australian dried fruit and butter, and shaped and  

iced to form map of Australia.  

This year's pavilion is designed to build prestige  

lor Australia, by the use of modern, striking display  

devices. Forty-two specially-trained Australian  

girls are staffing the pavilion.  

full range of Australian food products and  

wines—and, for the first time, products of Aus-  

tralia’s secondary industries—are on display at the  

exhibition, which will continue until March 30.
