CENSORSHIP FOR THE YEAR 1949  

To Senator the Honorable Neil O'Sullivan,  

Minister for Trade, and Customs.  

have the honour to report on the wOTk -of—the  

Commonwealth Censorship of Cinematograph Films for the year 1949.  

IMPORTS  

In the course of the year there were imported into  

the Commonwealth 1,518 35 millimetre films of all classes scenic,  

topical, educational, medical, commercial and dramatic. As film  

is made up in reels,'each reel averaging about 900 feet in length, the  

importations may be set out thus
