MR; ARCHIBALD McKENZIE
Mr Archibald McKenzie, well
known dairyman and grazier, of Rich
lands, in the Taralga district, died
suddenly yesterday. He was 56 years
of age. After completing his usual
early morning tasks, Mr. McKenzie
complained that he was not feeling
well and was taken by his son Lionel
into Taralga, where he collapsed in
the doctor's surgery and died within a
few minutes. Death was due to
heart failure. The late Mr. McKenzie
has had previous heart attacks, but
generally enjoyed good health and
of late appeared to be particularly
well.
He was a son of the late Mr and
Mrs. John McKenzie, who were
pioneer settlers at Marmont's Flat.
Besides his widow, a member of the
Howarth family of Golspie, he is
survived by four sons, Jack, Percy.
Max and Lionel and six daughters
Ruby, (Mrs Max Baxter), Vera (Mrs
George White, May (Mrs H. Robert-
son) Connie (Mrs Robertson), Joyce
and Heather.
He also leaves four brothers, Alec,
(Branxton), Angus (Fiji), Hughie
(Marmont's Flat) and Charles (Mol
ong, and two sisters, Mrs Shaw
(Manly) and Mrs Cassaro (North
Sydney).
The internment took place at the
Presbyterian cemetery at Stonequarry
this afternoon.
