TULLY PARK
SATISFACTORY REPORT
IMPROVEMENTS MADE
The monthly meeting of the
Tully Park Management Com
amittee was held at Mr. P. Best's
residence, Mr. T. Connolly pre
siding.
The honm secretary, M'r. S. Haigh,
:c nted sthat over 200 trees had 'been
9lanted. They 'were all flourishing. A
double 'row of plane trees hnad been
4"nted all mound the boundary, afndl
in avenue or elms from Joshua. Street
entiance to ,the dressing sheds, and a
glove of oaks, maples, eatalpas itnd
plaiies near Keismore Bridge. Two
trees had been brokes off, 'but the
est ahere grosing well. The park
wass hea,'ily grassed, and there would
be danger from fire when it dried.
cArrangements were Imade . 'for
'ut'ier working bees to dig round the
trees and cut thistles and effect
sunitry cther imnapovements.
The matter of destuctian and
dannage to trees asnd other improve'
ments was discussed, and i wass de
aided to requcst the 'lonr rangers to
,e vigilant aind to see that any of
"'ris' ' be dri orously pirosecuted.
I \tvas decided to erect two double
swings for 'the children in dhe vicin
tyv of the vwir'asning pool.
