COOTAMUNDRA AIR PAGEANT:
When Mr.i Archdale Parkhill, M.P.,
arrives at Cootamundra next Monday
to declare the extended aerodrome
open, he will be there to witness the
greatest Air Pageant ever held n
Australia, excepting the Centenary
Pagent held in Melbourne last Sat
urday. It will be a red letter day in
aviation for the country . It is appro
priate that the two flights of defence
places are both from No. 1 Squad
ron, and the five Bullldog Fighters
comprising No. Squadron fighters
are the fastest machines at present
in Australia. This is a unique oppor
tunity to see these machines stunting
at 200 miles per hour. The air race
from Melbourne to Cootmundra is
being looked forward to , because
Squadron Leader Stodart has the
fastest plane at present flying in Aus
tralia. This air race was made pos
sible by the very generous support of
Messrs. F. S. Faulkiner and Son
Ltd., of "Boonoke" and "Wanganella."
Mr. Faulkiner's interests have always
been in the country, and it is very
appropriate that he should be the
man to give the Riverina Aero Club
his wholehearted support. It is only
by means of a pageant such as the
Cootaunindra Pageant on November
19 that people in the country are able
to see the latest developments in
this rapid branch of transport.
