GOULBURN POLICE COURT.
TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 4.
Before the P.M. and Mr. Belcher.
REMANDED TO TARALGA.
Alfred Arthur Lester was charged by warrant
that, having entered into an agreement with
Francis Isaac to serve him for three months in
the capacity of cook and obtained from him the
sum of £3 9s on account of wages, he did with
out reasonable excuse refuse to perform the
work he contracted to perform.
Sergeant F. Thompson deposed as to the ar
rest of the defendant; when witness read the
warrant to defendant he replied, "It is utterly
untrue: I did not enter into a contract;" wit
ness asked for a remand to Taralga, where the
witnesses reside.
Remand granted.
DRUNKENNESS.
One defendant who pleaded guilty to being
drunk was fined 10s or three days.
