Death of Former
Labor M.P.
Veteran Labor identity Mr.
Henry Chesson died at his
home in Thomas street, Croy
don yesterday. He was 85.
He represented Port Adelaide
in the House of Assembly from
1905 to 1915, and West Torrens
from 1915 to 1918.
He was chairman of commit
tees between 1915-18.
The Opposition Leader (Mr.
Richards) said today that Mr.
Chesson's passing would be felt
among the ranks of all Labor
supporters.
Mr. Chesson leaves a widow,
four daughters, and three sons.
