SATURDAY, 30th NOVEMBER.
'The Bondman."
Literally thousands have read the
Sir Hall Caine novel, "The Bondman,"
and these readers will now have an
opportunity of seeing all the well
known characters of this thrilling ad
venture romance in the British Dom
inions Film coming to Regal Pictures
on Saturday.
Norman Kerry, the hero of many
well-known screen productions, plays
Jason, with a naturalness of acting
that plainly suggests the domineering
manner as typical of the man, whilst
Frances Cuyler as Greeba, the charm
ing heroine, is a perfect cameo of
appealing womanhood.
For those who have not read the
book—"The Bondman" is a story of
two. half-brothers who set out from
different countries, one on an errand
of mercy, the other on a quest of
vengeance, but find that Fate has
decreed their lives should be thrown
in a mesh of political intrigue over-
shadowed by' the red Spectre—Revo
lution.
When Sir Hall Caine saw the pre
view of Herbert Wilcox's screen ver
sion of his famous story, "The Bond
man,*" he was very enthusiastic over
the manner in which his book had
been reproduced. He declared that
Norman Kerry, who plays "Jason,"
made the leading character live, and
is exactly how he (Caine) pictured
the brave young Sicilian, when he
originated the character.
