OBITUARY
MR. W. J. O'BRIEN
Mr. William John O'Brien, a well
known farmer of Ariah Park died sud
denly at the Ariah Park silos on Mon
day last, after completing the unload
ing of a quantity of wheat from his
lorry. His eleven year old son, who
was with him at the time, said that
deceased fell head first to the road.
Dr. Farragher expressed the opinion
that death could have been due to a
heart seizure, or a fractured neck,
caused by the fall.
The late Mr. O'Brien, who was high
ly esteemed in the Ariah Park dis-
trict, was only 56 years of age. He
was a native of Victoria, where he was
formerly a member of the Police
Force.
In addition to his wife he leaves
two sons and one daughter. One son
is a member of the R.A.A.F, and his
daughter is a nurse in Melbourne.
The funeral took place at Ariah
Park on Tuesday afternoon last, when
the interment was made in the Roman
Catholic portion of the cemetery.
