WESTERN AUSTRALIA.
News from Albany, dated 31st July, states
that the barque Star Queen, from Adelaide
to Fremantlo, was wrecked the previous day
on the Murray Reef. All lives were saved,
hut it is feared tiiat tho ship is a total loss.
A telegram, dated 24th July, from Perth,
stated that a wreck had been eecn from
Alamiurat, near I'iugarrah, aud had subse
quently disappeared. A quantity' of luggage
and cargo, together with a boat with the
namo " James Service, Melbourne," painted
on the Btom, havo been found thrown up on
the heach. Those indications all point to
the total lo3s of the burquo James Service,
from Calcutta to Melbourne, having on
board a large number of passengers. All
hands aro supposed to have been lost.
