ANDERS
Abused English
Hospitality
WARSAW, June 17 (A.A.P.).
In a speech here the British
Attorney-General (Sir Hartley
Shawcross)' said: "General An
ders has greatly abused the hos
pitality extended to him by Eng-
land. When the British people
learn the truth of the situation
inside Poland and the great diffi
culties that have been overcome
by the Polish people, all misun
derstanding will disappear . com
pletely, and no shadow will re
main over our relations.
"The British Government will
not allow General Anders' army,
to continue as a military force.
General Anders' army is a, source
of great worry to the British
Government. Those, men' will be
demobilised and they must be
found occupations." .
Sir Hartley Shawcross In the
"course of a press conference
stated President Beirut and Pre
mier Morawski had assured him
the elections would take place In
the autumn of 1946.
