"THE PEAR'S SOAP PUSH."
You've seen the famous picture of a naughty little boy,
Who reaches out to grasp the soap from which he hopes much joy;
So Fat is reaching out to-day to grasp a greater prize:
"Conscription" is the cake of soap on which he sets his eyes.
The prize is just beyond his grasp (alas! for theres' the rub!)
And if he reaches out much more he'll overturn the tub.
Though still his joy is unfulfilled, he's cheered by Billee's dope,
"I'll get it yet," announces Fat; "for while there's life, there's soap!"
