C. H. McFADYEN
Mr. Charles Hector McFadyen has
been prominently identified with pub-
lic affairs in Canberra since his trans-
fer to Canberra in 1927.
Mr. McFadyen is a prominent figure
in the Australian Natives' Association
in Canberra and in the Canberra
branch of the A.L.P., of which he was
president for four years. In 1931, he
was selected as one of the two A.L.P.
candidates for the Advisory Council,
and was narrowly defeated. He has
been a member of the Public Service
(Canberra) Welfare Committee for
several years and was for two years
president.
Mr. McFadyen has been keenly in-
terested in hospital affairs and was
prominent in the discussions during
1930 and 1931 of a hospital scheme
for Canberra.
On the formation of the Hospital
Advisory Committee, Mr. McFadyen
was one of the two members nomin-
ated by the Advisory Council.
