ZINC COMPANY'S WORKS AT ROSEBERY - PREMIER'S TOUR
THE NEW FLOTATION MILL.-The large notation mill in course of construction as part of the West Coast operations of the Electrolytic Zinc Company at Rosebery. The building is nearing completion. (See special article.) MINERS' HOUSES.-The Electrolytic Zinc Co. has built about 130 houses for its employees at Rosebery, in addition to a number of huts for single men. The company has laid' out a model township, a section of which is seen in the picture. THE WILLIAMSFORD AERIAL.-The Ore mined by the Electrolytic Zinc Co. at the Hercules mine will be con- veyed by aerial ropeway from the foot of the electric haulage at Williamsford, and then crushed and treated by , the flotation plant. The course of the aerial can be seen"in the picture. READY FOR THE MINE.-The Premier (Hon. J. C. McPhee) and party, together with the General Manager of the Mount Lyell Co. (on the right), dressed for their inspection of the North Lyell mine. FRENCH CRUISER RUSHED.-To damp the arbour -* - - ton of this dense crowd and. to relieve pressure on people in dancer of being pushed into the water, men on the French cruiser, Tourville, berthed at Port Melbourne, and police had to turn on one of the ship's hoses last Sunday afternoon. Some of those unable to board the packed cruiser counted the visitors out. Help
