VICE-REGAL.
The Lieutenant-Governor (Sir Herbert
Nicholls) will be present at the troop-
ing of the colour ceremony at North Ho-
bart ground to-morrow, and will take
the salute in the march past of the
parade.

British Labour's Tribute.
LONDON, November 10.
A memorial plaque to the late Dr.
Marion Phillips, of Melbourne, and a
former Labour member of the House of
Commons, who died on January 23 last,
was unveiled to-day at Transport House,
Westminster, on behalf of the British
Labour party.
The speakers paid tributes to Dr. Phil-
lips for her wonderful character and
courage.
TASMANIANS IN SYDNEY.
CANBERRA, November 11.
The Prime Minister (Mr. Lyons) left
Canberra to-night for Sydney to at-
tend the Tasmanian reunion dinner to-
morrow night.
REV. A. T. HOLDEN.
LONDON, November 11.
The Rev. A. T. Holden, of Melbourne,
sailed from England to-day for Canada
at the invitation of the Moderator of
the United Church. He will make an
extensive tour of that Dominion, und
will embark on the Niagara on Decem-
ber 7 for Australia.
Dr. A. O. Barkley, house surgeon at
the Devon Hospital, Latrobe, whose
term expires next month, was reappoint-
ed for a further term of three years at
the meeting of the board of management
yesterday.
Mr. A. Bradbury, manager of the Gee-
long (Victoria) branch of the Common-
wealth Bank, has (according to Mel-
bourne papers) received notice of his
transfer to Launceston.
Appreciation of the many privileges
that he has extended the operatives of
the Blind, Deaf, and Dumb Institution
during his term as manuger of the Prince
of Wales Theatre were expressed when
Mr. R. W. Brooks paid a farewell visit to
the institution yesterday. Several of
the blind operatives voiced their grati-
tude for the entertainment that Mr.
Brooks had afforded them at the theatre,
and the wish was expressed that he
would at some time return to the State.
At a meeting of the State executive
of the Agricultural Bureau at Launces-
ton yesterday Major T. H. Davies,
M.H.A., was appointed to the executive
committee as a State representative.
Alderman E. E. von Bibra, of the
Launceston City Council, has been ap-
pointed a member of the Launceston
Board of Advice in place of Mr. H. C. L.
Barber, M.H.A., who has resigned.
The Rev. Hugh McDonald, formerly
president of the Baptist Union of Tas-
mania, will be inducted to the charge of
South Yarra Baptist Church, Mel-
bourne, to-morrow morning.
