SUPPOSED DEATH OF THE BUSH-
RANGER POWER.
[By Telegraph.]
Melbourne, November 8.
It is believed that the body of the man
who a few days ago was discovered at
Tyntynder is that of the notable
Harry Power, whose bushranging
exploits are still fresh in the memory
of colonists. The deceased is alleged
to have fled from Melbourne to avoid
the influenza epidemic, having, it is
said, made a statement to that effect
at Swan Hill. Power has been missing
for some weeks, and a Mr. Reilly, of the
Victoria Buildings, Melbourne, has com-
municated with the police, stating he
has every reason to believe the body found
at Tyntynder is that of the ex-bushranger
Power. The police are enquiring into
the matter.
