OBITUARY
Miss Ida May Faulder
The remains of Ida May Faulder,
victim of the Good Hope tragedy,
were interred in the Methodist por-
tion of the Yass Cemetery, on Satur-
day last, at 3 o'clock. Rev. J. Hun-
ter MacGoun officiated and Mr.
Walter McIntosh had charge of
arrangements.
Floral tributes were sent by Chil-
dren, Terry and Dawn, Charlie, Bub
and family, Hannah, Fred and fam-
ily, Albert, Addie and family, Jim,
Jean and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. G.
Wilton and Tom and Myrtle Smith,
Mr. and Mrs. T. Puckett and family,
Doreen and Frank Walsh, Arthur
and May Chapman, Mr. and Mrs. J.
Smith and family.
Miss Alice M. Ryrie
The death occurred in St. John of
God Hospital, Goulburn, on Tuesday
last, of Miss Alice Ryrie, daughter of
the late Stewart Ryrie and Jessie
Ryrie, of Coodra Vale, Yass.
Miss Ryrie, who was better known
as Matron Ryrie, was 82 years of
age was born in Jindabyne, and
entered the nursing profession at
Prince Alfred Hospital. She ultim-
ately became matron of the Terraces
Hospital, and for many years was
associated as surgical nurse with Sir
Alexander McCormack.
She retired some ten or twelve
years ago and lived in Goulburn and
Sydney since then. She had unfor-
tunately been blind for some time
past and returned to Goulburn about
six weeks ago. Mrs. W. D. Ryrie is
a sister-in-law.
