Perth Races
• PERTH, Sunday.—Abandonment
of the ' Western Australian Turf|
Club’s meeting yesterday, because
of a jockeys’'strike, caused one of
the worst- demonstrations seen on
a ■ Western Australian racecourse.1
The crowd Jeered and hooted the
announcement, which was riot
made until-more than an hour
after-the starting time of the first

unless an ambulance followed the
races. . .

and three cheers were called fori

The Stewards offered to allow
an ambulance man to ride In the
stewards’ car which follows the
races. They said an ambulance
would cut uo the training track!
