MRS. PARRY.
On Saturday morning Mrs. Parry, relict
of the Rt. Rev. Bishop Parry, second Bishop
of Perth, passed away in one of the private
hospitals of the city. The cause of her death
was cancer, and she bore her trying illness
with Christian fortitude and resignation.
The deceased lady was the eldest daughter of
the late Mr. George Leake, K.tL aud was
married in the first instance to Mr. Alex-
ander, of Perth. On his decease she was
married to the then Bishop of Perth
(Rt. Rev. Dr. Parry), who predeceased her by
16 years. Mrs. Parry's eldest son, Theo-
dore H. Parry, was a victim of one of the
saddest drowning accidents that have taken
Íilace in the Swan River. The deceased lady
eaves surviving her two sons, one of whom
is the Rev. Lionel Parry, lately ordained for
the Anglican ministry, and the other is a
member of the firm of Messrs. Cavanagh
and Parry, architects. She also leaves one
daughter, Mrs. Sanderson, of Kalamunda.
The coffin was taken to St. George's Cathe-
dral on Sunday afternoon at a quarter to 5
o'clock, and arter the first portion of the
burial 6ervice had been read the cortege
proceeded to the Anglican Cemetery at
East Perth, where the body was buried in
the vault which contained the deceased's
husband and eldest son. The Bishop of Perth
{Dr. Riley), assisted by the Rev. W. F. Mar-
shall, conducted the burial service, the
Bishop making a few appropriate remarks
at the graveside. The pall-bearers were Sir
Edward Stone, Colonel Haynes, Major Sher-
wood, Messrs. R. A. Sholl. Fred. Miller,
Alfred Burt, M. Fraser, and Chas. Harper.
The chief mourners were Messrs. G. H.
Parry, L. W. Parry (sons), Mrs. A. Sander-
son (daughter), Mr. A. E. Parry (stepson),
Mrs. Skinner Mrs. Cecil Clifton, and Mrs.
H. T. Kelsall (sisters), Mrs George Leak«
(sister-in-law), Mr. A. Sanderson (Eon-in-law),
Dr. Kelsall and Mr. Cecil Clifton (brothers
in-law), Mr. C. Lee Steere and other rela-
tives, and amongst those present were Dr.
Hackett, the Rev. Mr. Bowen, Rev. F. J.
Price, Sir Edward Wittenoom, Messrs. O.
Burt, F. Wittenoom, F. C. Faulkner, E. W.
Marsh, A. E. Woodruff, M. F. and ? J. C. .
Cavanagh, A. Cooper, E. G. Joyce, J. Ken
worthv, R. Fairbairn, S. J. Phillips,
and 0. Spencer. Letters and telegrams
of sympathy from all over the State and
many handsome wreaths were received. The
funeral arrangements were carried out by
Messrs. Bowra and O'Dea, undertakers, of
Pier-street, Perth.
