GENERAL TODT'S DEATH.
"One of Germany's Great Losses"
LONDON, Feb. 12.—The Berlin
radio referring to the death of Gene-
ral Fritz Todt, said that it was one
of the greatest losses that the entire
German nation had suffered. It de-
clared that Hitler was at the State
funeral this morning.
A Berlin report on Sunday stated
that General Todt, who was the
builder of the Siegfried Line and
creator of Germany's great motor
road system, had been killed in an
aeroplane accident while on military
duty, and that Hitler had ordered a
State funeral.
Hitler announced the creation of
a new decoration, to be the highest
in Germany, and placed it on
General Todt's coffin.
