  14. Huge French Luxury Liner Destroyed By Fire

    The French luxury liner Attantique (12,512 tons), which was proceeding to Havre (France) for overhaul, caught fire while off the Casket Rocks (Channel Islands), and was, abandoned yesterday. There were no passengers on board, and all but 18 of the crew of 229 were rescued by other ships. The Attantique was one, of the ever built in France.
